The University of Alberta is developing a new online Graduate application system, scheduled to begin accepting applications on December 1, 2014. If you are applying on or after this date, please have all relevant application-related/required documents prepared in a completed format in order to submit your application into this new system.

If you are applying on or prior to December 1, 2014, by 12:00 midnight MDT, you will be applying through the current, and soon to be retired, online application system.

It is important to note that if you are applying on or prior to December 1, 2014 by 12:00 midnight MDT, that your application, must be completed, submitted and paid for in order to be processed. If you apply after this date, and your application status was incomplete,  you will be required to re-enter all your information into the new application system,  and you must ensure that all application related/required documents are uploaded in a completed format.

FGSR Office Hours

FGSR will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

FGSR will be closed for the lunch hour from 12 noon to 1 p.m.

Fall 2014/Winter 2015 Fee Assessments

Fall 2014 and Winter 2015 fee assessments are now posted on Beartracks.  Please review your fee assessments carefully and contact

to review your fees if you are unsure of the amounts posted.




Thesis submission deadline for Fall 2014 Convocation without Fall 2014 registration is August 29, 2014 at 4 p.m. 

Thesis submission deadline for Fall 2014 Convocation with THES 910 registration in Fall 2014 is September 29, 2014 at 4 pm (only certain non-instructional fees are assessed). FGSR will register students in THES 910 when their thesis has been successfully accepted.
