6.17 Changing Category of Degree Program

For graduate students who are changing their category of degree program, the department should submit a Recommendation for Change of Category or Academic Standing form to the FGSR as soon as possible, and preferably before the student registers. The FGSR must approve the recommendation for change of category before registration in the new degree program can be completed. Recommendations for changes of category received in the FGSR after August 15 may not be approved and processed in time for the student to register in the new degree program for the Fall Term.
