Spring & Summer Fees
Graduate students registered in Spring and Summer are assessed the following fees:
- instructional fees at the Spring/Summer rate
- non-instructional fees at the Spring/Summer rate
Instructional Fees
Every course at the University of Alberta is assigned fee index units, represented by the (fi X) beside each course listed in Bear Tracks and the University Calendar.
The instructional fees for Spring or Summer courses taken for credit are determined by multiplying the fee index units of each course by the Spring/Summer graduate fee index value approved annually by the Board of Governors.

Non-instructional Fees
All Spring/Summer 2011 graduate students, whether registered full-time or part-time, are assessed the following non-instructional fees per term:
- Registration & Transcript: $36.14
- Student Services: $27.04
- Athletics & Recreation: $31.09
- Health Services: $12.83
- Common Student Space, Sustainability & Services (CoSSS) Fee: $72.50
- U-Pass: $91.67 (either Spring/Summer term, but not both)

Spring/Summer students are not assessed the Graduate Students' Association (GSA) Fee, the GSA Dedicated Fee, or the GSA Health and Dental Plan Fees. |
